BBGFC Club Notes – Aug 10th 2020

In this week’s Ballyboughal GFC News;
  • Our Men’s 1st team secured a brilliant win away from home last Wednesday in the Championhsip vs Fingallians (BB 11pts – Fins 10pts). The lads play their last crucial Group Match this Sat (Aug 15th) vs Peregrines away at 6.30pm. This will be a ticket only event again but we will keep people posted on our social media pages.
  • Our Men’s 2nd team also secured a great win last week vs Scoil Ui Chonaill in their Champo Game. The lads play again this Sunday and we will have more details ;later in the week on our Social Media Pages.
  • Our Ladies team lost out to a strong St Brendans last weke but continue to train hard and will play at home on Wed (Aug 12th) at 7.30pm vs Erins Isle!
  • The BBGFC Summer Camp starts today and we cant wait to see everyone. Please adhere to all Covid 19 Restrictions and Guidelines set out when dropping kids off and picking up afterwards.
  • We are delighted to announce Ballyboughal GFC will be holding a 3 day Advanced Football Camp for boys / girls born between 2004-2007 from 17th – 19th August. It’s a great chance for the players to improve their Gaelic football skills under the tutorship of Gerry Seaver and Sally Farrell along with other “special guest coaches” . The camp will run from 10am-1pm each day and similar to our Cul Camp T&C’s the previous week. If you are interested in signing up please text back to Club phone on 0868470263, confirming name of player and which jersey you would like to order – St Peters or Ballyboughal ( sizes are 13-14,XS,S,M,L,XL)
    Orders for Tops will be placed this Monday (27th) so they are available in time for the camp – any players who wish to register after this date will not receive a training top.
    Payment for camp can be made at the Clubhouse on Monday 27th July between 8.00pm -9.00pm , or on Tuesday 4th August at the same time.
  • Covid 19 is not gone away yet, so please continue to adhere to the Return to Play Guidelines laid out by the GAA and by your team mentors.
  • The Ballyboughal Sporting Mount Rushmore has been picked after much deliberation. A big thank you to Mick Casey, Lar Lynch and Matt Rooney for their effots in picking the 4 famous sporting figures. Congratulations to; Leo Hickey, Nan Connell, Gerry Seaver & Niamh Fay, all very much deserved of the award!
  • A special thanks to Corbally’s (Fingal Fencing) for their very generous donation of new Surroundiong Fencing around the new Pitch at the clubhouse. Always a great advocate of the club and a great local Supply Shop for all your farm and fencing needs –
