BBGFC Club Notes – Jan 11th 2021

A Chairde,

In this week’s Ballyboughal GFC News;
  • The Club Lotto is a massive€7,050 this week. So what are you waiting for, get online at and secure your numbers in the Draw!
  • Just a reminder that the walkway is open in the club as we all try to kick start our New Year Resolutions and escape from the madness of another Lockdown. We would ask that anyone using the track keeps their distance from others, allow runners to overtake, do not bring any dogs on the track, and pick up any litter you find on your walk and drop in to the bins at the clubhouse. For those interested in keeping track of your walks here are the measurements of the small track and the New Large Track; Large track 650m (Clubhouse start and finish). Short track 450m (Clubhouse start and finish). Safe walking and please stay safe!
  • Thanks to everyone who tried out our new walkway last Monday for the first week of ‘Ireland Lights Up’ 2021. Unfortunately the GAA have requested that Clubs postpone ‘Ireland Lights Up’ until at least February. The walkway remains open which is great news for those still looking to get out and about.
  • BBGFC are now selling Club Face Masks and you can purchase your mask for just €5 from Mace Shop and The Brew Coffee Shop. These masks are flying out the door so dont delay and get down and get yours now.
  • Special Thanks to Vivian O’Reilly who was busy mounting the new Stone Signs on the new Entrance Pillars on Friday…and they look GREAT!!
  • **Keep Green & Pick Up Litter** With the increased number of Walkers on our Walkway’s these days, we are asking everyone using the Club Facilities to help keep it clean. Please pick up any rubbish you come across and place it in the Bin’s Provided at the clubhouse! If you see any rubbish in the Village it would be great to keep the Community Clean too!’Pick Up and Pitch In’
  • We remind everyone using our Walkway today to be extra safe as it is quite slippy with the snow fall last night. Stay safe and stay warm 😉
  • Covid 19 is not gone away yet, so please continue to adhere to the Return to Play Guidelines laid out by the GAA and by your team mentors.
  • Are you new to the area and want to use the Club’s Walking Track and Outdoor Gym Equipment?! Well now you can, simply register online on the link below for a Social Membership. The club is not responsible for any accidents for non members. You must be registered to use the club facilities at any time!
