BBGFC Club Notes – Jan 6th 2020

In this week’s Ballyboughal GFC News;
  • On behalf of the Club and its Committee, we want to wish all of our Members and Online followers a Happy New Year. Hopefully another successful year in ters of sport for the Village.
  • Our Men’s teams start back Pre Season Training this week (Tuesday Jan 7th at 7.30pm) on the Main Pitch. If you fancy getting involved, come along on the night and find out mre about how to join etc.
  • Our Ladies team start back their Pre Season training this Wednesday (Jan 8th) at 7pm on the Main Pitch also. Again, if you are interested in joining come along and join in the fun.
  • The Club are delighted to announce that Dee Donohue will be staying on as Manager of the Men’s 1st Team for 2020. After an extremely succesful year last year (Winning Champo) Dee has decided to give it another go and keep the momentum going! We cant wait to see whats in store for the team this year and the club would like to take this opportunity to thank Lar Lynch for his time, effort and commitment to the 1st team over the last few years. Lar will be taking over the Men’s 2nd team to help bridge the gap between the two teams.
  • On the Ladies side of things, Mick Wogan and Stephen O’Meara have also decided to stay on and we’re delighted to have them back for another succesful year for this very talented bunch of girls.
  • ‘Ireland Lights Up’ is back for 2020! We’ll be turning on the floodlights every Thursday @7pm for the next six weeks. Enjoy a walk with friends, neighbours and family on
    a safe well lit walking track. Join us this Thursday 9th January for week 1.
  • Congrats to all 16 Winners of our Club Draw tonight. We’ll be in touch with all of our prize winners 🥳Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and helped raise funds for the Club this Christmas! Please see oir Social Media Pages for a full list of Winners and their prizes. 
  • Congratulations to our very own Katelyn O’Brien who was named the first ever DKIT Ladies Sportsperson of the month for her contribution to the college Soccer and GAA team
  • The Ballyboughal Men’s team have made it to the Finals of the Fingal Independent Team of the year for 2019 after winning the Champo Final. All we need to do is Vote for the team now to secure the Win. Can you please log in to the below link and vote for Ballyboughal GFC in the Team of the year section and while you’re at it, Niamh Fay a local Boxing hero, is up for Sports Star of the year too so be nice to get some votes for her also! Pass on the word and vote as much as you can with as many emails as you can and hopefully we’ll have another reason to celebrate the Championship Win!!
  • Our G4M&O team will start back soon but continue to do their own Walking and Running Routines for this time of year. New members always welcome.
  • Dont forget to play the club lotto online, in the local shops and pubs and have your chance to win over €2,620. No winners this week.
