BBGFC Club Notes – March 4th 2019

A Chairde,

In this week’s Ballyboughal GFC News;
  • The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the Family of Charlie Rooney and the Wild Geese Club. A gentleman and a legend of the game.
  • A great start to the League for our 1st Team to beat Clondalkin (Round Towers) by 3.13 – 1.5 at home. Thanks to all that braved the bad weather to support the lads.
  • Hard luck to our Men’s Second Team as they narrowly lost out to Stars of Erin away in a brillaint game; 1.12 – 0.10 pts.
  • Membership Fee’s are long overdue so we would encourage all thise interested in using the club facilities to pay ypur membership by the end of March. Any persons not officially registered as a member will not be allowed to use the running track or any club facilities for insurance purposes.
  • The weather is expected to play havoc this week on the pitch and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we try to accommodate as many teams as possible on the Astro this week.
  • If you have a business and would like to advertise around the pitch like so many local businesses have, please contact Danny McGill for prices and details at 086 854 4010
  • Congrats to the G4MO Team that reached their end goal of 2500km challenge. All funds raised were donated to the Jigsaw Mental Health. Great achievement and cause guys.
  • The club as a whole was awarded their Guines Book of World Records Cert last week for those kids that participated in the Largest Hurling Training Session in the world a few months ago.
  • Keep up to date with all of our news and club updates daily, by following us on Facebook, Instragram and Twitter.
