BBGFC Club Notes – Oct 29th 2019

A Chairde,

In this week’s Ballyboughal GFC News;
  • Our Ladies team played a cracker of a game vs Ballinteer on Sunday in the League Semi Final but narrowly lost out in the end to end their year. Well done to all involved, a brilliant year in terms of progression and making their mark in the Division!
  • Our Men’s 1st team ended up Drawing in the Champo Semi Final on Sat vs Clan Na Gael. A game that went to Extra Time for a second week in a row for our lads. The Replay will take place Wednesday (Oct 30th) at 7.30pm in St Margarets GAA. A huge crowd at the match on Sat and hopefully we can replicate this on Wednesday for the lads. If the lads win, the Final will be on Snday at 3pm in O’Toole Park vs Trinity Gaels. But we won’t get ahead of ourselves!
  • Our Men’s 2nd team lost out to a strong Good Councel side on Wednesday last week in the Champo Quarter Final. Thats the end of the year for our 2nd team but a great finish for the lads and hopefully they can push the 1st team on to be better and keep intensity high in training this week.
  • Congrats to the u13 St. Peters girls who where victorious winning the Cup final against O’Tooles over the weekend in O’Toole park.
  • A big thanks to Dubs legend Dessie Farrell who took our St Peters minors for a training session last Thusday ahead of their championship semi final. Dessie was very generous with his time and the lads really appreciated his words of wisdom and positive feedback. The Lads Semi Final will take place Nov 3rd. More details to follow.
